Sophia Zhang ‘26- Painting

Kicking off the 2023-2024 school year with our first Pomfret Featured Artist, class of ‘26 Sophia Zhang. Painting and Drawing teacher JP Jacquet describes Sophia as “a quiet and dedicated student who spent two weeks in a charming French village this summer. There, she immersed herself in creating watercolor and charcoal drawings that beautifully captured the essence of the countryside and its people. Her days were filled with sketching outdoors, at the local market, and in the halls of museums, while her evenings were devoted to polishing her creations. The culmination of her artistic journey came at the chateau's final art showcase, where her work left a lasting impression on attendees. She is currently in the Honors painting class and we look forward to seeing what she will create next.”
